Program Description:
Presenter will speak on longevity risk topics such as outliving your financial resources, life expectancy and health & long term care consequences of living a long time. He will also go into detail on people’s perception of longevity risk and important advisor considerations.

Speaker: Kevin Borella, CIMA - Vice President and Private Wealth Director with Franklin Templeton’s Private Wealth Division in New York City and the Mid-Atlantic Region

Program Description:
Kevin will review expected vs. actual client experiences regarding retirement savings goals. The presentation will then take a deeper look into advanced ways measure risk, portfolio construction and solution assessment.

Meet our Speakers:

Mark Shemtob is the owner of Abar Retirement Plan Services LLC, a N.J. actuarial and consulting firm specializing in the design and administration of retirement programs for private employers. Mark is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (Academy), a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, a Member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries, and an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA. In addition, Mark is a Certified Financial Planner and a Retirement Management Analyst providing financial retirement consulting services to individuals. Mark is an active member of the Academy serving on the Social Security Committee, the Lifetime Income Task Force, the Pension Committee, and the Forward Thinking Task Force. Mark has taught as an adjunct professor at Rutgers University on financial retirement issues. He has authored commentaries on retirement issues and spoken on topics covering retirement security in America. Mark volunteers for the Actuarial Foundation. Mark holds a BA from SUNY Albany and an MA from Columbia University Teachers College, both in mathematics.

Kevin Borella is a Vice President and Private Wealth Director with Franklin Templeton’s Private Wealth Division in New York City and the Mid-Atlantic Region. As a trusted business partner, he brings valuable perspective to financial advisors in the areas of practice management, asset allocation and portfolio construction. Kevin supports investment advisors in their pursuit to reach their clients’ long-term investment goals. He began his career in the financial services industry in 2005 and joined Franklin Templeton Investments that same year. As an advisor to the advisor, Kevin is a resource for all of Franklin Templeton’s investment solutions, including mutual funds, separately managed accounts, and institutional alternatives. Kevin is a FINRA registered representative and holds the series 7 and 63 licenses. He holds his Certified Investment Management Analyst® certification (CIMA®) administered by Investment Management Consultants Association® and taught in conjunction with The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics and a Minor in History from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and currently resides in New York, NY with his wife Blair and daughter Devon.
